Sumy High Vocational School of Construction and Design
Established in 1944 and having undergone several reorganizations, Sumy High Vocational School of Construction and Design is now a state vocational education institution of the 3rd accreditation level. The school is authorized to provide educational services for obtaining complete general secondary and vocational education in the fields of construction, sewing, the service sector and catering.
Vocational Training
We provide training for skilled workers over a period of 1 to 4 years, following educational and qualification programs aligned with national vocational education standards. These programs are built around integrated, work-based curricula.
Licensed Professions
Our institution is licensed to train students in 12 professions, including 3 integrated specialties, with a total licensed capacity of 705 students. The available professions include:
– Tailor
– Cutter
– Cook
– Confectioner
– Makeup Artist
– Hairdresser (Hairdresser-Stylist)
– Office Clerk (Accounting)
– Secretary to the Head (organization, enterprise, institution)
– Bricklayer
– Manual Electric Welder
– Plasterer

– Tiler
Facilities and Staff
We are proud to have a team of experienced and highly qualified teachers and industrial training masters. Our classrooms, laboratories and workshops are equipped with modern professional and computer equipment. Students also benefit from accommodation in a comfortable on-site dormitory.
Student Life and Achievements
Our students actively engage in a wide range of activities, including sports competitions, creative events, clubs, project work, academic Olympiads and professional skills contests. Their participation consistently leads to high achievements and victories at various levels.
International Projects
As part of our commitment to modern education and sustainability, we are currently implementing the international project:
“Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine”, coordinated by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the German Government.
We welcome cooperation with international partners, educational institutions, and organizations to enhance our programs, exchange experiences and develop new opportunities for our students and staff.
